Intelence 200 mg is used together with other antiretroviral drugs to treat HIV-1 infection in antiretroviral-experienced adult people, teenagers and kids over the age of 6 with the symptoms of ongoing HIV-1 viral replication and HIV-1 strains resistant to an HIV NNRTI (non- nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor), as well as the other antiretrovirals.

How to take this drug?

The common dosage of Intelence for adult patients is 200 mg twice a day after eating. For kids aged 6 to 18 (who weigh 16 kg or more) the dosage depends on their body weight. Your health care professional will define the proper dose for your child.

The drug dosage depends on the patient’s personal characteristics like body weight, associated diseases and other drugs you’re taking. Avoid changing the dose prescribed by your physician.

Adverse effects of Intelence 200 mg

Seek immediate medical assistance if you notice any of these symptoms of an allergic response: rash; breathing problems; face swelling, etc.

On rare occasions, the drug can lead to rhabdomyolysis (breakdown of muscle fibers). Contact your physician at one if you noticed inexplicable pain in the muscles, sensitivity, or fatigue (particularly if associated with high temperature, unusual weakness and change in the color of urine).
