Nexavar 200mg

The remedy Nexavar 200 is primarily intended for the treatment of kidney cancer, advanced liver cancer or thyroid cancer, with intolerance to iodine treatment in combination with irradiation. Supplied in packs of 112 tablets each with a dosage of 200 mg.

Description and action of Nexavar 200

Antitumor agent. The active substance of the remedy is Sorafenib.

The remedy suppresses the effect of a number of enzymes, which play an important role in the basic processes of cell vital activity and their division, and thus stops the growth of the tumor.

Nexavar 200 is used for such diseases as:

Renal cell carcinoma with or without metastatic development.

Nexavar 200 is not recommended for using with:

Individual intolerance to Sorafenib or another substance that is part of the remedy.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Children and adolescents, since the effect of the remedy has not been investigated.

Cases in which you should take the remedy Nexavar 200 very carefully:

Diseases of the skin.
High blood pressure.
Cardiac ischemia.
If you had a myocardial infarction.
When taking Nexavar 200 concurrently with irinotecan and docetaxel.

Other possible reactions of the body:

Decline in strength, frequent fatigue.

Method of administration and recommended doses

Nexavar 200 is taken with meals or between meals. The remedy is washed down with a glass of water. It is important that the food is not too greasy.

Recommended dose: 800 mg per day (4 tablets). Usually the remedy is taken two times a day for two tablets. Nexavar 200 is taken while its effectiveness is felt and there are indications for treatment, or until strong side effects appear.

If Nexavar 200 causes severe reactions of the body, its dose is adjusted, or the treatment temporarily stops until the patient feels better.
